OK....after being just too tired the first night and not being able to connect to the internet last night......we finally have a connection and want to give everyone a quick update on what's happenin' in Israel

We landed in Tel Aviv about 3 o'clock Monday afternoon.  We immediately boarded our bus and headed for our first site....Ceasarea Maratima.  This was the sight of Herod's palace on the Mediterranean. Afterwards we headed straight to our hotel, The Dan Caesarea.

Tuesday we had a 6:30am wakedup call.  We had a quick breakfast and then boarded the bus again.  The first place we went was the Jezreel (spelling?) and the ancienty city of Megiddo.  The valley that Megiddo overlooks is the location of the final battle of Good versus evil as described in Revelation.  From Megiddo we went to the villiage of Nazareth, Jesus' hometown.  Nazareth is a very busy congested city with lots of traffic.  The "Nazareth Villiage" organization has a nice reconstruction of what the villiage would have been like in trhe 1st century.  More to follow.....
